You can save some money by making your own diffuse or soft filter.

You will need the following:

1. A clear neutral or skylight filter.

2. Thinner-based Clear Nail Polish

To make the soft filter, simply drip small dome-shaped drops of the Clear Nail Polish onto the surface of the clear neutral filter. Space out the drops evenly and wait for them to dry and harden.

That’s all to it. Next time when you take photos with the newly-made soft filter, you will notice that the images have a beautifully romantic soft feel.
