UFRAW - Free tool for editing RAW files
RAW file format is one of the best digital image file format for digital cameras. It is the preferred format used by Photographic Professionals.
A commercial photo editing (apart from Photoshop) that have RAW editing capability is Photoplus.
On the other hand, UFRAW is a free tools designed for editing RAW files. This software aims to resolve as many issues as possible that are pertaining to white balance and exposure during the raw conversion. The newer version also comes with more advanced tools such as image denoising.
UFRaw can also be used as a GIMP plugin.
One of the most powerful function of this software is that it allows the user to digitally modify the exposure of the original photo. Furthermore, UFRaw allows Nikon camera users to read the camera’s tone curves.
UFRAW comes in versions for Windows, Macs and Linux.
